An expert in Natural Curls, Lois’ “claim to fame” is that she formerly worked as a DevaCurl trained Stylist at each Devachan Salon (DevaCurl) locations in the US and holds the title Board Certified Colorist. This means she has studied tested, and achieved the highest, industry wide, brand-agnostic recognition as a Color Specialist.

Lois was one of “the original” Devashan Curl Stylists, having trained directly and indirectly under Deva’s original Co-founding Stylists, Lorraine Massey (author of Curly Girl Handbook; Curly Kids: The Curly Handbook; and Silver Hair: The Handbook), and Denis Dasilva (founder/inventor).
(In 2010, the Devacurl brand took the curly hair world by storm. With products designed exclusively for curls and promoted predominantly by social media influencers, Devacurl was birthed directly out the the NYC Devachan Salon.)
Lucky for us, Lois has re-located to Rochester, her Alma Mater city (Nazareth College Grad) after 20+ years of working in the downstate market. She brings a balanced approach, equally technical and artistic in her approach to curls.
Her foundational skills span a lifetime of styling, including certification by the American Board of Certified Hair Colorists (now known as BCH).
